Our Kalaycıoğlu Bozkır Tahini in the classic roasted version is the milder alternative to our double roasted tahini. Once roasted, ground on traditional stone mills (Taş Değirmen) – the result is a fresh, nutty tahini with a lighter aroma, which is particularly suitable for those trying tahini for the first time, using it in mild dishes, or wanting to use it in large quantities without a dominant roasted flavor.

Single or double roasted – what's the difference?

For classic roasted tahini, the sesame is gently heated once – the aroma is mild, fresh, and nutty, and the color is slightly lighter. With double roasted tahini, the second roasting process creates a deeper, more caramel-like aroma with more warmth in the finish.

Both versions come from the same tradition, the same mill, the same sesame. The difference is purely in the degree of roasting – and thus in the taste.
