Original Ezine Cheese 350 g – aged 9 months | Turkish White Cheese from Çanakkale
Out of stock
A cheese rarely found in Germany – and not to be forgotten.
Anyone who has ever had authentic Ezine Peyniri on their breakfast table knows what Turkish white cheese truly means. Creamy, slightly salty, with a depth developed through nine months of maturation – this cheese is not a feta substitute. It is a distinct product from one of Turkey's oldest cheese regions.
The 350g vacuum pack is ideal for couples, for those who want to buy their cheese fresh and regularly, or for anyone trying Ezine Peyniri for the first time.
What is Ezine Peyniri?
Ezine Peyniri is a traditional Turkish white cheese produced exclusively in the Ezine region, Çanakkale district. It enjoys a protected geographical indication in Turkey – similar to Parmigiano Reggiano in Italy or Gruyère in Switzerland. Authentic Ezine Peyniri may only be made from whole or sheep's milk from this region.
Maturation takes at least 3 months; our cheese matures for a full 9 months – resulting in a creamier texture, a deeper flavor, and an aroma far superior to industrially produced white cheese.
What differentiates Ezine Peyniri from Feta?
Feta is a Greek sheep's cheese with legally protected origin from Greece. Ezine Peyniri is a Turkish white cheese with protected origin from Çanakkale. Both are white cheeses in brine, but the taste is distinctly different: Ezine Peyniri is milder and creamier, less acidic, with a long-lasting, slightly nutty finish. Many who find Feta too intense prefer Ezine Peyniri.
What is Ezine Peyniri suitable for?
• Turkish breakfast – the centerpiece of every Kahvaltı table
• With olive oil and olives – the classic Mediterranean combination
• As a cheese accompaniment – with fresh bread, tomatoes, cucumbers
• In Börek & Gözleme – as a cheese filling for Turkish pastries
• In salads – as an alternative to feta, with less acidity
• On Meze platters – alongside tahini, olives, and red pepper paste
• Simply plain – directly from the pack, slightly tempered
Shipping & Storage – important notes
Ezine Peyniri is a fresh cheese and requires continuous refrigeration. We ship exclusively in thermal boxes with ice packs to maintain the cold chain. Please place it immediately in the refrigerator (vegetable drawer, 4–8 °C) upon receipt.
Important: Ezine Peyniri must not be frozen – this irreversibly destroys its texture and aroma. Before serving, let it rest for 10–15 minutes at room temperature for the full aroma to develop. After opening, store in the vacuum packaging or in a sealed box with some saltwater in the refrigerator, consume within 7–10 days.
350g or 600g?
Our Ezine Peyniri is available in two sizes. The 350g pack is suitable for couples and individuals who regularly buy fresh cheese. Those who consume more or are buying for a larger group should opt for the 600g pack – it offers a lower price per kilo and is sufficient for several breakfasts.

What does "cold-pressed" mean for olive oil – and why is it important?
What does "cold-pressed" mean for olive oil – and why is it important?
"Cold-pressed" means that the olive oil is extracted from the olives at a maximum temperature of 27 °C. At higher temperatures – as is common in industrial processing – valuable ingredients are lost: polyphenols, antioxidants, vitamins, and natural flavors are destroyed by heat. Our Elea Minon olive oil is cold-pressed at a maximum of 27 °C – unfiltered and without additives. What ends up in the canister is what the olive naturally provides.
Can you use olive oil for frying?
Can you use olive oil for frying?
Cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil is suitable for gentle searing up to approx. 160–180 °C – for steamed vegetables, eggs, fish, or briefly fried meat. For strong searing, deep-frying, or very high temperatures, we recommend a refined oil, as intense heat degrades valuable ingredients and impairs the aroma. Our olive oil is best enjoyed at breakfast, in salads, dips, and sauces – there it shows its full aroma.
How to recognize good olive oil – and what makes many products fail?
How to recognize good olive oil – and what makes many products fail?
Good olive oil smells fresh and fruity – never rancid, musty, or pungent. In 2026, Stiftung Warentest found that 8 out of 25 "extra virgin" olive oils, the highest quality grade, received a "poor" rating – due to taste defects or contamination. Important purchasing criteria: current harvest stated (e.g., 2024/2025), clear indication of origin (not just "EU"), light-protected packaging, and direct bottling by the producer. Our olive oil meets all these criteria – and comes directly from Crete, without intermediate storage or blended goods.
How do I properly store olive oil so it lasts longer?
How do I properly store olive oil so it lasts longer?
Olive oil has three enemies: light, heat, and air. Cool, dark, and well-sealed – these are the three most important rules. An ideal temperature is between 14 and 18 °C, away from the stove. Our light-protected canister already protects the oil from oxidation from the very beginning. Unopened, our olive oil has a shelf life of 18–24 months. After opening, we recommend consuming it within 6–8 weeks. Tip: If you buy large quantities, decant a small container for daily use and keep the main canister sealed.
Which size should I order – 0.75 L, 3 L, or 5 L?
Which size should I order – 0.75 L, 3 L, or 5 L?
That depends on your consumption. 0.75 L is suitable for a first impression or for single-person households – fresh and quickly used up. 3 L is ideal for couples and small families who cook daily – lasts 2 to 4 months and is significantly cheaper than several small bottles (only €11.66/L). 5 L is our most economical choice for large households and anyone who uses olive oil generously – only €9.99 per liter. Tip: If you're unsure, start with 0.75 L and then immediately order the 5-liter canister. Most customers do exactly that.
